Pro-Inspect now has the capabilities to qualify operators of MFL scanning equipment. This qualification is accomplished thru practical examination. The practical exam consists of three (3) parts. Part one includes MFL scanning over a .250 thick c.s. plate containing known underside defects. During the second phase, scanning is performed over a .065 coating, and then the coating is removed. Finally, the bare plate is scanned and ultrasonic proveup is performed to prove exact locations of defects. This qualification test is provided at our location. The practical portion of the examination provides confidence to the clients and to the operator of this equipment. | Question: We asked why it took so long to renew and receive confirmation. | |||||||||||

| Answer: A major reason for the delays is incomplete or inaccurate applications. A.P.I. has to call many applicants and request additional corrected paperwork. | |||||||||||
